MEQUON — Hundreds celebrated Rotary Park’s future All-User Playground Saturday during the Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Foundation’s Party for the Playground event, which allowed visitors to preview and learn more about the development that accommodates individuals with a wide range of physical, sensory and cognitive abilities. Organizers confirmed that they have raised $3.2 million of its $4.5 million goal, as construction is expected to begin this year, with completion set for 2027. The project is a joint effort between the Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club, Inc. and the Mequon-Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club — the foundation is a joint foundation of the two clubs and is a nonprofit.
